Tim and Carol Gallery Launches “Cross-Currents: An Ode to Pa Timothy Fasuyi”

Tim and Carol Gallery of Art is set to honor the legacy of one of Nigeria’s most respected art pioneers, Pa Timothy Adebanjo Fasuyi, through a special exhibition titled Cross-Currents.

The exhibition celebrates Pa Fasuyi’s immense contributions as an artist, educator, and cultural ambassador. Known for his groundbreaking work in Nigerian art education and for mentoring generations of creatives, Pa Fasuyi left a legacy that continues to inspire both established and emerging artists.

Cross-Currents brings together works from contemporary talents across Lagos and Ogun, offering visitors a chance to reflect on the interwoven narratives of past and present. The exhibition also emphasizes the gallery’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage while providing a platform for new voices to thrive.

Founder Olawale Fasuyi described the exhibition as a deeply personal project, one that bridges history and the present moment: “This show is not only a tribute to my father’s enduring influence but also a reminder that art is a living current—flowing across generations, inspiring, connecting, and shaping the future of our society.”

Visitors to Tim and Carol Gallery can expect a rich mix of paintings, sculptures, and mixed media pieces, all curated to spark dialogue around tradition, innovation, and legacy.
